Never stop making ART.

So I haven’t posted in a while due to being busy with shows and the holidays. Now it is a new year and I think my dear audience is ready to be subjected to a DELUGE of new work. Even if I refrain from posting to the bloggy-blog-o’sphere I still make lots o’ stuff while I am operating in lo-fi time. But pictures or it didn’t happen right?

P.S. My friend alerted me today to the website Zazzle.com where supposedly artists can make money selling their designs to be put on T-shirts and mouse pads and coffee mugs etc. Selling out or good opportunity? Please advise.

From my hand cut paper series for the Light and Dark show:

Samson 12×12 SOLD

All I Ever Meant to Say is that I Love the World 12×12 $90

The Message 12×12 $40

A-side/B-side 12×12 SOLD

Contrarywise 12×12 SOLD

A two year old piece I rediscovered while digging around in the closet:

The Velveteen Rabbit

And some works in progress:

6 O’Clock Hawk woodcut

Trapdoor Spider Papercut

Sketch for It’s Just a Pipe

Cheers.

Good on you little sis! Glad you’re selling those prints and updating the blog. It’s so awesome to see how talented you are and how your work has evolved from those pen and ink trippy pics you’d draw back in the day to these amazing works.

And if you ask me, zazzle is a great idea. Fuck those who call it selling out. It’s money, and it gets your work out there and onto peoples…mousepads or what not. I’d buy five at least!

~love ya!

Tory! I am so convinced of your genius. These are absolutely beautiful and if you ever have a show/set up an online store, etc, I will be first in line.

So on Zazzle. . . you are lucky enough to live in a place where there are amazing people who are silk screening shirts. Zazzles quality will never make you happy, buy some American Apparel and learn to print.

And let me get you started. The link below is a list of artists who were at Maker last year, if you ctrl F and then search silk then you know who to hit up to learn the ins and outs. Really your work deserves the art touch. I am sure Miss Will would help. . . I know I would.

Hopefully one day you will send me some art. . . you are going to maker 2010 right. I am driving up for it so you better!
